Privacy Policy

This policy explains how UP-ON handles information when you use our website, Discovery Genius and related services.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Information we collect

When you sign in to Discovery Genius with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image and Google account identifier. We also collect the answers, files and business information you choose to provide, along with basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account, save and resume your discovery, generate the outputs you request, provide support, maintain the service and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.

Service providers

We use these providers to run UP-ON: Google for sign-in, Supabase for database and file storage, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email, OpenAI and Anthropic for AI processing, and Unsplash, Pexels and Are.na for mood board photography. Each receives only the information needed for its part and processes it under its own security and privacy commitments.

How Genius uses AI

Genius is an AI. To write your questions, research, names, logos, images and issue, it sends your answers and business details to OpenAI and Anthropic through their business APIs. Your name and email are removed from what is sent for images and web searches, and photo searches use only words about your business. For Discovery Genius on the web we have switched off response storage at OpenAI; the WhatsApp assistant keeps it on because it needs it to continue a conversation. Genius can get things wrong: research and name checks are a first screen, not professional or legal advice.

How we measure use

We record how Discovery Genius is used, for example which steps you complete, which pages of your issue you open and whether you share it, so we can improve it. These records carry a one-way code in place of your email and never contain your answers. We also record the size and time of each AI request, to understand our costs.

Shared issues

If you share your issue, anyone with the link can read it, read-only, for 30 days. The link does not reveal your email address.

Google user data

Google account data is used only to authenticate you and maintain your UP-ON profile. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Account and discovery data is stored while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. We apply access controls and reasonable technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your personal information. You can also sign out at any time and revoke UP-ON access from your Google Account. Depending on where you live, additional data-protection rights may apply.
